Mr. Chase became CEO of Incentive Publications in September 2007 through the acquisition of IP by Frog Street Press. He has spent the past 2 years in the education industry after acquiring controlling interest in Frog Street Press, a publisher of early childhood and elementary education curriculum, and has served as CEO since that time. Prior to joining the Frog Street team, Mr. Chase spent 20 years in the chemical industry where he both had ownership in companies and worked for publically traded companies. Mr. Chase also serves as Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Parker holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Marketing from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. He has sales experience in the telecommunications, education, and insurance industries prior to joining Incentive Publications in 1996. Mr. Parker came to IP as Operations Director prior to moving to the intended position of Sales and Marketing Director in July 1999. After the passing of former owner and President Imogene Forte in May of 2005, Mr. Parker moved into the role of President & CEO. Mr. Parker also serves on the Board of Directors for IP.
Ms. Norris began teaching in a first-grade classroom at the University of Colorado Laboratory School. Her varied teaching career has spanned grades PreK through eighth grade. She has directed a preschool program, been a remedial reading specialist, and acted as a technology co-coordinator. Following twenty years of classroom experience in Colorado, Texas, North Carolina, and California, she has transitioned to a role as presenter, author, and publisher. Her experience in all of these roles has given her a unique ability to sense teacher and market needs, monitor educational trends, and understand the publishing process from manuscript to finished product. She manages all aspects of the IP product creation and production process.
A nationally-recognized presenter, author, and humorist, Jack Berckemeyer began his career as a middle school teacher in Denver, Colorado. After two years of teaching he was named as an outstanding educator at his school and shortly thereafter was identified as one of the outstanding educators in the district. Jack is passionate about middle level, serving as Assistant Executive Director for 9 of his 13 years at the National Middle School Association before coming to Incentive Publications in 2010. He brings his energy, humor, and expertise of the middle level adolescent to us and to all staff development as he helps teachers and administrators remember why this job makes a difference. Ms. Frank has been an author with IP for over 30 years and her books include some of the best selling items in the IP line (If You’'re Trying to Teach Kids How To Write, BASIC/Not Boring Series, Smart Starters). In her career as an educator, she has served as a classroom teacher for intermediate grades, a college instructor and supervisor of student teachers, an educational consultant, and an institute director. Ms. Frank lives in Ashland, Oregon but visits Nashville regularly.
