Drumming to the Beat of Different Marchers - a popular IP teaching strategy book in action:
The idea for including a discussion guide in Drumming to the Beat of Different Marchers came from Park R-3 School District in Estes Park, CO. The teachers there, under the direction of Linda Chapman, formed one of the first study groups to use Debbie Silver's book as a faculty book study. Laura Brown wrote a six-week course of study. Her great ideas encouraged Debbie to write the discussion guide that is now included in the book. Debbie says, "I am eternally grateful to Laura, to Linda, and to the teachers of Park R-3 District for their camaraderie and their commitment to professional development. Thank you, Park District educators, for being advocates for your many different marchers."
